In appreciation of these outstanding (unrelated) Hepburns, the Grandview Library presents two each of their career-defining films. From whimsy to terror and one of the definitive romantic comedy/dramas of any era, these talented & lovely ladies are at the top of their game.

4/22: The Philadelphia Story (1940). Romantic comedy starring Katharine, Cary Grant & James Stewart. Oscar: six nominations, with two wins: Best Actor (Stewart) and Best Adapted Screenplay.
4/29: Wait Until Dark (1967). A recently blinded woman is terrorized by criminals. Oscar: Audrey nominated for Best Actress; lost to Katharine (Guess Who's Coming to Dinner)
5/6: Woman of the Year (1942). Romantic comedy about a marriage between rival reporters. Co-starring Spencer Tracy. Oscar: Best Actress nomination (Katharine), Best Original Screenplay winner.
5/13: Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961). Romantic comedy about a New York’s socialite interest in a new neighbor. Oscar: Best Actress nomination (Audrey) and two wins: Best Score and Best Original Song (“Moon River”)
