Tall, dark, and handsome? Suave and debonair? Funny and smart? That’s screen legend Cary Grant—everything you could ever want in a leading man. Join the Grandview Library for four of his most indelible films, directed by such giants as Howard Hawkes, George Kukor, and Alfred Hitchcock. Comedy and suspense never looked so good!

Mondays at 6:30 pm: March 18 & 25, and April 1 & 8.

3/18: The Awful Truth (1937). Screwball comedy involving a divorcing couple’s new romance jealousies. Oscar: five nominations, including Leo McCarey’s Best Director win.

3/25: His Girl Friday (1940). Screwball comedy about a newspaper editor’s efforts to stop his ex-wife reporter from remarrying. Co-starring Rosalind Russell.

4/1: Suspicion (1941). Alfred Hitchcock thriller about a shy wife and her charming husband’s true character. Oscar: Joan Fontaine won Best Actress.

4/8: Holiday (1938). A self-made man has second thoughts about marrying into a rich family. Co-starring Katharine Hepburn, who is featured in our next film series.

Shown in large-screen digital projection. Free popcorn.
