Get ready for a new season of events at the Grandview Library!
Find out what’s happening December 2009—May 2010 and join us for
fascinating talks, workshops, live music & fun for all ages.
Highlights:
- Man, That’s Cold! Noir Film Festival: Crime dramas from the 1940s & 1950s.
- The Exciting World of Private Investigation and Central Ohio’s Historic Prisons.
- Three all-ages concerts, including Uncle Jim Mayer (pop star Jimmy Buffett’s bass player).
- Chocolates of France: Tasting party.
- Homes of Frank Lloyd Wright.
- Homes of Columbus architect Frank Packard, with the Grandview Heights/Marble Cliff Historical Society.
- Slide & audio presentation about Columbus music from 1900-1970.
- Stargazing on our lawn with the Columbus Astronomical Society.
- Mystery Night in the Library after hours, for grades 5 & up.
- Holocaust Remembrance Day concert, with mezzo-soprano Susan Millard-Schwarz.
- Yappy Hour: Friendly doggie mingle on our lawn.
- Job help, Friends of the Library Book & AV Sale, Red Cross Babysitter Training Course, Middle School Book Discussion Club, story times for kids, game days for teens, and much more.
While major state funding cuts have forced us to reduce our services (including events), we’re excited about this upcoming season.
