Music in the Atrium receives arts grant
The Grandview Heights Public Library has been awarded a $1,000 arts grant for our Music in the Atrium indoor concert series!
The grant was given by The Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC), who awarded a total of $21,200 to 20 organizations in its third round of grants for the 2010 Franklin County Neighborhood Arts (FCNA) program. The program, funded by the Franklin County Board of Commissioners, is designed to increase community participation in the arts throughout Franklin County.
The Grandview Library is proud to present this diverse concert series, which has featured many styles & genres of music throughout its 20-year history:
- American blues, folk, country, bluegrass and pop
- Anatolian and Eastern European folk
- North and South American jazz
- Opera
- Classical
- Vocal harmony
- Celtic
- R&B
- Kids music
- Local indie bands
Past performers include:
- Jim Mayer (pop star Jimmy Buffett's bass player)
- Theresa Cincione (Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera)
- Susan Millard-Schwarz
- BeJae Fleming
- Rosco B.
- Dick Mackey
- Super Desserts
