Grab a graphic novel

Just comics? Think again. Graphic novels are enjoying mainstream popularity, bringing gorgeous artwork to complex story lines in every genre.

Whether they're about fantasy (Batman, Watchmen, Bone by Columbus's own Jeff Smith!), politics (The 9/11 Report: A Graphic Adaptation, Pulitzer-prize winner Maus, Persepolis), culture (Kampung Boy), or biography (American Splendor by Clevelander Harvey Pekar), graphic novels tell many different stories.

Get lost in these unusual & beautiful books. Our nearly 400 graphic novels for adults can be found upstairs (in the 741 section) in the Library. Graphic novels and manga for young adults (many are great reading for all ages) can be found downstairs in Youth Services.
