AV closed May 13 & 14!
The Audiovisual Department will be closed Tuesday & Wednesday, May 13 & 14, for the installation of new DVD & CD fixtures! A limited collection of DVDs will be available in the Atrium for checkout. Reserves & requests will be fulfilled when possible, and staff will have limited access to the remaining AV collection (DVDs, CDs, and graphic novels), depending on construction in the department. Thank you for your understanding during the installation of these exciting, new features!

Master Basketmaker coming May 15
Nationally-acclaimed, Appalachian White Oak Basketmaker Cynthia W. Taylor will make a special appearance at the Library on Thursday, May 15, at 7 p.m. Taylor, whose free appearance is funded by the Ohio Arts Council as part of her Artist-in-Residency at the Grandview Schools, will bring examples of her craft, share slides, and sell & sign her book Appalachian White Oak Basketmaking: Handing Down the Basket. The public is invited to bring baskets to share. 481-2951.

The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.

Free prescription discount cards here
The free prescription discount cards offered by Franklin County to all residents are available at the Community kiosk downstairs near Audiovisual. A fact sheet of Frequently Asked Questions is also available at the display. The card is good at many area pharmacies, including Grandview`s Giant Eagle and Kroger stores, and the Target at Lennox. NOTE: This card is different from the Ohio Drug Card, available only online and only for low-income residents.

Library closed May 25 & 26
The Library will be closed Sunday-Monday, May 25-26, for Memorial Day.

Director Search Opens
The Grandview Heights Public Library Board of Trustees has announced the opening of its search for Library Director. Applications received by April 15 will be given preference. Deadline for applications is May 9, 2008. Click here for more details.
