The GHPL Mobile Exhibits<\/a> project has been expanded to six Ohio libraries thanks to a library grant.<\/p>\n Traveling Museum Exhibits feature six different Natural Wonders<\/em> themes focusing on biodiversity and science learning that rotate bimonthly among six participating Ohio libraries for one year, Spring 2019-2020.<\/p>\n The interactive, museum-quality exhibits are designed to inspire wonder and learning for all ages.<\/p>\n Each library’s all-in-one, interactive mobile kiosk displays changeable themed content that includes:<\/p>\n The project seeks to provide free access to unique, museum-quality, science-based learning for everyone in the community.<\/p>\n It also <\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span>upports \u202f<\/span><\/span>Ohio\u2019s Learning Standards<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u202ffrom the \u202f<\/span><\/span>Ohio Department of Education<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0for students pre-kindergarten through grade 12<\/span><\/span>\u00a0by promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The\u00a0<\/span><\/span>p<\/span><\/span>roject<\/span><\/span>\u00a0was<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>created\u00a0<\/span><\/span>through<\/span><\/span> a partnership between the Grandview Heights Public Library (GHPL<\/span><\/a>) and The Ohio State University\u2019s Museum of Biological Diversity (<\/span><\/span>OSUMBD<\/span><\/span><\/a>)<\/span><\/span>. Pilot exhibits at GHPL were funded with private money by the GHPL Foundation<\/a> in 2018. <\/span><\/span>The expansion to six Ohio libraries was funded<\/span><\/span>\u00a0through a federal<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Institute of Museum and Library Service (<\/span><\/span>IML<\/span><\/span>S<\/span><\/span><\/a>)\u00a0<\/span><\/span>LSTA grant<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0awarded by the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>State Library of Ohio<\/span><\/span><\/a> in 2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Participating libraries include<\/span>:<\/p>\n\n
