The 11th Annual Grandview Chocolate Walk benefits the GHPL Foundation while highlighting Grandview Height’s outstanding, pedestrian-friendly business district.

A limited number of $25 tickets will be available beginning Monday, September 8, 2025.

NOTE: Purchased tickets will be available for ticketholders to pick up inside the library’s First Avenue front doors from 4-6 pm on the day of the event.

Culture Pass: Carpe Diem String Quartet

GHPL is partnering with the Carpe Diem String Quartet to offer free access to select concerts during their 2025–2026 season!

Carpe Diem String Quartet, based in Columbus, Ohio, often champions work of living composers, including new works.

A limited number of passes will be available for each concert weekend. Each pass grants access to 1-2 seats for one of their upcoming concerts.

10 passes become available on the following Saturdays for each upcoming concert:

• 09/13/25 for Oct 4 or 5
• 11/29/25 for Dec 20
• 02/07/26 for Feb 28 or Mar 1
• 03/07/26 for Mar 28 or 29
• 05/02/26 for May 23 or 24

Pick up a pass at the library during business hours.

Seats are first come, first served while they last.

An adult cardholder may borrow one pass at a time.

All concerts are held at various venues in Columbus, Ohio.

Culture Pass: OSU Music Classes

GHPL is partnering with The Community Music School (CMS) in The Ohio State University School of Music to offer free music instruction to children and adults!

A limited number of free seats to a variety of classes will be available for CMS’s fall season to students of all ages with diverse backgrounds, skill levels, and educational goals.

Pick up a pass at the library during business hours. 

Seats are first come, first served while they last. 

Register before Sunday, August 24.

All classes are held at OSU African American & African Studies Community Extension Center, 905 Mt. Vernon Ave.

Library, Rotary Dedicate Peace Pole

GHPL recently dedicated a World Peace Pole—generously donated by Tri-Village and Upper Arlington Rotary Clubs—as a symbol of hope for a more peaceful world.

The monument displays the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in multiple languages.

Look for it at the entrance of the library’s rear parking lot!
