Join the Imagination Library

Ohio’s public libraries are partnering with The Dolly Parton Imagination Library, the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital to provide new books to children ages 0-5.

Dolly’s program provides a book mailed monthly to a child’s home to keep at no cost. Children born this month could receive up to 60 books by the time they turn five.

The program is part of the Ohio Governor’s initiative to promote early childhood literacy and kindergarten readiness across Ohio.

Dolly’s program began in 1995 and is now an international program. Ohio’s first counties came on board in 2005. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s goal is to have all 88 counties participating by Spring 2020.
