The 37th Annual Great Pumpkin Run 5K race will take place Saturday, October 24, at 9 am!

The race is presented by the City of Grandview Heights and Grandview Recreation and Parks.

Streets surrounding the Library will be affected. Although First Avenue (the Library’s street) will not be closed to traffic, it will be restricted from 7-10:30 am. Motorists should expect delays along the race route, which will yield to runners.

Call Circulation at 614-486-2951 with any questions about directions to the Library.

Enjoy the race!

GHPL receives 8th five-star rating

2015_Five_Star

Library Journal has named the Grandview Heights Public Library one of America’s best public libraries with a ranking of five stars for the 8th consecutive year.

GHPL also ranked 2nd in the nation in its expenditure category for the 3rd consecutive year.

The Library Journal Index of Public Library Service identified outstanding public libraries in its America’s Star Libraries 2015. Ratings are based on 2013 data from the IMLS—circulation, visits, program attendance, and Internet use, each per capita.

More than 7,600 libraries across the country were evaluated, with 261 receiving a starred rating and 85 libraries receiving a five-star rating. Only 21 libraries nationwide have received a five-star rating in all eight editions.

Your continued support has made GHPL one of the best public libraries in the country! Thank you!

In addition to GHPL, five other Central Ohio library systems received star ratings:
