Reserve a ukulele from the Grandview Heights Public Library!

Each ukulele comes with a case, accessories, and instructional materials.

Ukuleles and acoustic guitars are available and on display in Circulation on the second level of the library.

Acoustic guitars have been available to borrow from GHPL since 2015, thanks to a grant from the Grandview Heights/Marble Cliff Education Foundation.

The musical instrument lending program focuses on music education through hands-on collaborative learning for all ages.

Each instrument loans for 28 days with a GHPL card (3 renewals, if there are no other patron requests), are available only at GHPL (unavailable through our consortium), and must be returned to GHPL. Overdue fines are $1.25 per day.

New at GHPL:

• Vox Books
  Reserve books from our catalog that talk! Vox Books are children’s read-along books that include an audio player & headphone jack, so your child can listen as they read. Listening to books being read aloud helps build vocabulary, increases comprehension, gives kids education independence, and helps new readers gain confidence with learning new words.

 

The library will begin replacing several of its roofs beginning Monday, September 17.

The library and outdoor book drop are scheduled to remain open during construction.

The project will take several weeks, depending on weather.

During construction:

• CLOSED: Parking spaces in the west end of the library’s rear parking lot.
• OPEN: Parking on the east side of the building.
• OPEN: Auxiliary parking lot off Oakland Avenue.
• INSIDE: Expect construction noise in the nonfiction and public computer areas on the second level.
